Blues to Stick with Canterbury

Cardiff Blues Chief executive Bob Norster has revealed the region will be sticking with their Canterbury playing kit next season, despite the firm going into administration on Monday.
The news of Canterbury Europe going into administration didn't look at all promising for Blues chiefs, but Norster has moved quickly to quash any worries fans may have,
"We should be fine, we've had all our training and playing kit for the new season. We also have a good level of stock of replica kit, in terms of what we've got with us and what Canterbury are holding. We are currently undertaking an audit, both at our side and with the administrator, to see exactly where we are in terms of our requirements for the rest of the year. But it looks like we should have enough stock."
With the Blues moving to the new City of Cardiff Stadium this Saturday, a financial worry such as this was exactly what execs didn't need, but Norster is confident that it won't hit the regions wallet too hard,
"The good news is we have received our playing kit for the coming season and as we've only got one year left on our deal, hopefully this shouldn't affect us unduly, although obviously we feel for the people who have lost their jobs."
The rumours regarding Cardiff's kit were that there would be a new 3rd shirt, worn for European matches, but that is the only kit yet to be delivered. As for what will happen next season, he said;
"We have been approached by practically every manufacturer out there. It's fair to say we've been snowed under with people asking if they can refit us."

'Alfie in the mud' is a famous premonition me and my cousin (aka webmaster of this site) had leading up to the game! We helped a man in need cross the Spanish border into France with his two dogs that morning - they were called 'Alfie' and 'Mud'. Then in the afternoon our Alfie charged down a clearance kick in the mud, leading to Jamie Robinson's winning try!
