The Blues have made just three changes to the side which battled hard in a rain-soaked Rec last weekend, with emerging fan favourite Daf Hewitt captaining the side for the first time.
Dai Young retains his all-Welsh squad for the second LV match, with the Blues’ young guns looking for a victory against Aviva Premiership new boys Exeter.
Last weeks captain, Andires Pretorius and fellow back rower Ben White have been replaced by Luke Hamilton and the hugely promising Josh Navidi, while the other change sees Tom James in for James Loxton on the wing.
Cardiff RFC fly half Gareth Davies had an outstanding debut in last week’s 29-19 loss to Bath, scoring all the points and finding excellent field position in sodden circumstances. He’ll be looking to continue that form tonight, as he continues to make the step up from Premiership rugby.
The Chiefs themselves are in outstanding form, having beaten Saracens in the league a fortnight ago, backing that up with a 29-6 pasting of Wasps in last week’s opening round of LV matches.
