Strong Side Announced for LV Clash with Quins

Dai Young has named a much improved side for Saturdas LV Cup showdown with Harlequins at the Stoop. In a weekend where Wales take on England in the 6 Nations opener, the Blues will be hoping to claims the Quins 100% record and other results to go their way if thy are to qualify to the latter stages if the cup.

The Blues need to win at The Stoop and hope the Falcons and Wasps slip up at Exter and Ospreys respectively If they are to have any hope of qualifying.

Young has recalled the core of his remaining squad for the game, with Paul Tito, Casey Lauala, Tom James and Chris Czekaj. However neither Xavier Rush not Martyn Williams have been included.

Chris Czekaj; Richard Mustoe; Casey Laulala, Dafydd Hewitt; Tom James; Ceri Sweeney, Tom Slater; Tom Davies, Gareth Williams, Taufa'ao Filise, Bryn Griffiths, Paul Tito (c), Andries Pretorius, Josh Navidi, Tom Brown T Rhys Thomas, Sam Hobbs, Nathan Trevett, Maama Molitika, Ben White, Rhys Downes, Gavin Evans, Dan Fish

The match will be shown live on Sky Sports, on Sunday at 3.15pm

Hello all, I am a new message poster to this site although I have been reading the thoughts of supporters for a couple of years. I am a Blues and Cardiff supporter of over 30 years having seen my first game during the Clubs Centenary Season.

I for one am happy to see some of the senior players return for the Quins game, not because I have any interest in the LV= cup, but these players need game time ready for some important ML Games coming up.

Why have we picked this side ? We are not going to qualify and even if we win we have to rely on other teams. We should continue sticking with the youngsters like we have from the start. I just do not understand picking Laulala, James, Sweeney, Tito etc.. for a dead wood game. Very strange.

WHATS DAI PLAYING AT.
LAST WEEK HE SHOULD HAVE PICKED LIKE THE OSPREYS YOUTH AND EXPERIENCE. ITS TO LATE NOW TO PICK HIS BEST PLAYERS, WHEN WE NO CHANCE OF QUALIFYING.
A TRIP TO COVENTRY AGAIN, WOULD HAVE BEEN BRILLIANT.

Are you Martyn Williams' number one fan or Martin Johnson's?

Agree that little if any chance of us going any further in LV but hopefully useful game time together for the team before the games that are now all we have left to play for this season, i.e. Magners.

I don't think he's played since his sending off against Northampton and that was yonks ago.

Last week he was in Madrid, still injured I guess.
