Cardiff Blues have announced they will employ a new Director of Rugby to oversee operations next season. The Blues have been without a DoR since Dai Young’s departure to Wasps last summer.
The Blues have been on a disastrous run; in the past three matches alone they have conceded 98 points scoring just 18 in the process. That’s 11 tries to 0.
On top of that woeful form, the current pair have come under pressure following their treatment of Gavin Henson and for allowing players to go out drinking before a early morning flight.
"The search for the new director of rugby will begin immediately," said Blues chief executive Richard Holland.
Current names being linked with the vacant role include Sean Holley, Lyn Jones, Phil Davies and Kingsley Jones.
