Bobo a Go-go?

Dai Young and Bob Norster have spent this weekend on a scouting trip to South Africa to watch Serali Bobo along with New Zealanders, Xavier Rush and Reuben Thorne but it looks as though Breyton Paulse is going to France.

Cardiff Blues fans are facing the mouth watering prospect of having 28-yea-old Fijian wing, Serali Bobo in their starting IX next season. It had been confirmed that the Blues are chasing New Zealand back-row pair Xavier Rush and Reuben Thorne, but weekend revelations show that Bobo is also on Dai Young's wish list.

6 top internationals have been promised by Peter Thomas, and the intent of Dai and Bob seem to show that 6 will be the bare minimum.

The Blues chiefs flew out on Thursday night to watch S12's side The Stormers play Waikato in Cape Town.

Norster, commented 'We are looking for and investigating the the possibility of recruiting some world class players.' A category which Bobo would certainly come into.

The Blues have been looking for a winger following the departure of retiring Nick Walne, and hot prospect, Jonny Vaughnton to the Ospreys.

One winger who has already put pen to paper on a Cardiff regional contract is 19-year old starlet, Chris Czekaj. His displays with Cardiff RFC (scoring 9 tries this year) and Wales under 21's (who won the grand slam) being the main reason for his promotion from the RFC side. He is also being wisely tipped to make Mike Ruddock’s test side to play Canada and USA.
