The European Cup fixtures have been announced with the Blues kicking off their Heineken comeback at the Armspark against Leeds. The first round matches will start on the weekend of 22nd October.

ROUND 1 – October 21/22/23

ROUND 2 – October 28/29/30
Leeds Tykes v Rugby Calvisano
Perpignan v Cardiff Blues

ROUND 3 – December 9/10/11
Rugby Calvisano v Cardiff Blues
Leeds Tykes v Perpignan

ROUND 4 – December 16/17/18
Cardiff Blues v Rugby Calvisano
Perpignan v Leeds Tykes

ROUND 5 – January 13/14/15
Cardiff Blues v Perpignan
Rugby Calvisano v Leeds Tykes

ROUND 6 – January 20/21/21
Perpignan v Rugby Calvisano

The Blues will start and end their group matches with what will probably be the most important matches. Both Cardiff and Leeds will be realisically looking to come a high second in the group if they cant manage a top spot above French giants Perpignan.

The first match will be cruical, last year the Blues had a chance to beat Ulster at Raven hill but blew it, and had a very poor competition. This year however, we have a real chance to pick up 4 or even 5 points in our first match, which would signal our intent and get us of to the perfect start in what is debateably the easiest group.
