Rush Out Already!

In typical Cardiff Blues fashion, we have got another injury to a key player! We are not due to get Xavier until November, but he now looks set not to make a Blues appearence until as late as January!

Xavier Rush has been diagnosed with glandular fever which could see the star out for up to 6 months. The Aukland number 8 was due to Captain his side against the Lions on Tuesday, but was forced to pull out in the last week.

Rush will definately miss the first round of European fixtures, the home match against Leeds, as the move comes after the NPC season finishes, but he may now be out until round 5 or 6 in Januray.

However, the fever could reside in a matter weeks if the illness is not too serious. Fortunately, he has seen a doctor about it early, before it got too bad, which may well help.
