Webster turns full-time

Cardiff Blues forwards coach, Richard Webster has taken up a full-time role with the Blues after proving a solid acquisition in the last 6 months.

Webster, formerly a Bridgend and Warriors coach, took up a 2-day job with the region in January and has since improved the line-outs, scrums and general performance of the pack, earning himself a full-time roll.

The move was inevitable after the Blues missed out on bringing in John Humphreys in June, saying at the time they were perfectly happy with Webster's performance.

Webster was the first confirmed staff signing in a bid to shake up the regions back-room staff. Joining him at the new training ground in the Vale are Neil Jenkins and Rob Howley, with Dai continuing as head coach.

Dai Young spoke of his joy at completing the move,

'We are pleased to welcome Richard an a permanent basis. And with Rob coming on board it promises to be an exciting time for the region.'
