Blues Set For Millennium Return

The Cardiff Blues look set for a return to the Millennium Stadium next season, for the Anglo-Welsh opener with Wasps.

The match will be played on 31st September/1st October and could well see a 20,000+ crowd with the two capitals meeting.

The Blues played their final home game of last season at the 75,000 all-seater stadium, and were rewarded with a new Celtic League record attendence of 15,372. That game was aginst Leinster, and with all respect, saw very few travelling fans, however a Millennium switch could entice plent of supporters from the London club as well as interest within the region.

Meanwhile, Cardiff cheifs are also trying to secure the European clash with Munster at the bumber stadium. The European champions won their first title at the Millennium Staium back in May, and will relish a return so soon.
