Jenkins Set for Coaching Role

World record points scorer Neil Jenkins looks set to kick off his coaching career, after Mike Ruddock offered the 88 times capped outside half a position in his coaching setup, as kicking specialist.

JENKS IN LINE FOR COACHING ROLE

Recently retired Jenkins will take up the position for Wales's Autumn tests, but may be used more widely with regular coaching clinics around the regions and academy's.

"I have been asked to coach the kicking side with the Wales squad," said Jenkins, after playing his final game before retirement on Sunday.

"It is something I'm interested in doing and now it's a case of going through the right channels."

The ginger monsters joint testimonial with Jason Leonard ended in an entertaining 80 all draw at the Millennium stadium on Sunday, with Jenks' of course slotting ten straight conversions.
