League Man Linked With Dragons Post

Former Australian rugby League coach Chris Anderson is being tipped as an unlikely replacement for the role at Rodney Parade first vacated by Mike Ruddock, and then Declan Kidney.

Despite not having any experience in union as a coach, Dragons chief executive Andy Marinos is reputedly keen on bringing Anderson who was replaced as Kangaroos coach at the end of last season to Rodney Parade, in a desperate move with pre-season training soon to be underway.

Anderson who endured a fustrating final season with Cronulla Sharks in 2003 held talks with Marinos over the weekend, which are believed to be at an advanced stage.

Skills' coach Leigh Jones is likely to be promoted to assistant as part of a shake up, should Anderson be appointed.
