Quinnell to Take up Llanelli Role

BREAKING NEWS: Former Welsh captain Scott Quinnell is to take his first step into coaching, when he takes up a role with the Llanelli Premiership side next season alongside former team mate Neil Boobyer.

Although 31 year old Quinnell will remain with the Scarlets as a regional player, he will begin what is being seen as a logical first step into coaching, following his likely retirement at the end of the forthcoming campaign.

Last years coach Kevin Williams will still remain, but it is thought that the appointment of Quinnell and Boobyer will give the Turks a far more comfortable footing, having just avoided relegation last term.

Boobyer returns from Pontypridd, after his role as a development officer with the Celtic Warriors was ended through their disbandment.
