Bells Wales Hopes End

Duncan Bell's faint hopes of switching his allegiances to Wales have been dashed, after the International rugby board ruled against his appeal.

The tight-head has resided in Llantrisant since leaving Pontypridd for Bath two years ago in the hope of qualifying for Wales on residency grounds, however after being an unused replacement on tour with England in 1998, Bell has been classed as ineligible.

Having turned down a call up with England's A setup in March this year, 30 year old Bell appears to have ended any hope of playing international rugby.
