Lestyn Leaves The State Of Play

After three active and interesting years which has seen the site continue to grow, site editor Lestyn has made the shock decision to leave the State of Play.

Lestyn or Paul set up Red Dragon Rugby on Sportnetwork 3 years ago as a fans site devoted to Welsh Rugby, from its early roots the site has set out to be a little different to the Monopoly site of Welsh rugby Gwlad.

At the start of the 2004/05 season Red Dragon Rugby evolved into The State Of Play and last month the site set its personal record for hits and we were looking forward to further growth in the upcoming 6 Nations.

I've already posted on the messageboard that I hope Lest decides to come back after he has had a little break.

Here is Lest's leaving message:

"No self indulgence considering how little consistency I have shown over the last three years.

Anyways I have decided to give TSOP and rugby a break because I simply don't have the time to contribute a decent amount of my time, with work and uni leaving me with little other time, and to be honest I don't think my health can take anymore time staring into a monitor

Thanks to everybody who has contributed, and I hope that there is someone willing enough to take The State of Play on to bigger and better things.

Please shoot me if I try and make another Sinatra like comeback.
