England U21s have suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of the Australians in IRB World Cup Final Score England 22 – 52 Australia
England worked hard to contain a powerful Australian pack but the better team won on day.
Australia were full of pace and power and too strong for England the Australian defence causing England to make too many errors
England manager Pete Drewett said: “All credit to Australia. We made some basic errors and allowed them to capitalise on possession at crucial early moments of the game. England’s players will have learnt a great deal from the game. We expected the Australians to come at us with pace and intensity but in certain areas of the game, such as the scrum, I thought England dominated.”
