England - Monthly Review March 2004. Well what a month England scalped at the hands of the Irish! And our very first Competition winner and some fantastic photos of the Irish and Welsh Games check out the Media and Photo Gallery.
March 2004 - In Review!
Well in March we continued with the Zurich Premiership and the RBS Six Nations Championship, not easy for some clubs as many of their top players were on International duty and things have come to a head with the RFU and Gloucester regarding the release of players in particular Henry Paul! Not easy as I say but in this instance to my knowledge Premiership Rugby and most fans agree with Gloucester regarding the Henry Paul non release for the Hong Kong 7s. but unfortunately it is still rumbling on and the RFU have now give Gloucester seven days to comply. Hmmm???
England faced Ireland at Twickenham after a very poor start to their defense of the RBS Six Nations and Grand Slam - and it has to be said the were well and trully beaten by the better team Eng v Ireland Review. Some excellent photos of this match taken by James and the Welsh photos taken by Claire in our England Media & Photo Gallery: England then went onto play a rejuvenated Wales at Twickenham - they won this time but blimey they had to fight England v Wales Review.

Then the final deciding game France v England Stade de France - France were supberb and deserved to be crowned the RBS Six Nations and Grand Slam champions for 2004 France v Eng Match Review.
England now need to re-group, rest and get rid of some dead wood in my opinion - Clive talked a great deal again! Clive Talks - The 'A'Team, Eng Strength, Discipline, The Lineout!, Tickets?, Clive Talks - Tonking??, Weather&Wales, Clive Talks-Laporte &Love, (Is it me or is this now getting quite silly ), Clive Talks - Referees! England 7s - Saved the day with a win in Hong Kong IRB 7s Hong Kong Results,
And... England U19 beat Australia A superb second half performance gave England a sensational 33-23 win over Australia in the second round of the World Junior Champs in South Africa.
And..........The Under-21s have beaten France 25-18 in Brive, to record their first ever Grand Slam. They scored three tries, through Bath hooker Rob Hawkins, Quins centre Chris Bell and Waspies flanker Tom Rees. Congratulations to all involved. Stand-off Ross Broadfoot was the England hero with 23 points
Competition: - We had our first ever Winner - Steve(Eng) and Keith came second - Eng-Competition Winner! Our new competition will be announced early April.
Again a very busy month for England and one the Elite XV will no doubt want to forget!
