Coventry 15 (Tries: Takarangi 2 (55, 60). Con: James. Pen: Dorrian (10).  

Moseley 14 (Tries: Bressington (3), Caves (66). Cons: Thomas 2.).

Moseley took the lead in this match when right wing Nathan Bressington went over for a try in just the 2nd minute and Oliver Thomas converted for 7-0. Coventry pulled three points back when Myles Dorrian slotted over a 10th minute penalty in what turned out to be the final score of the half.

In the second half two tries from winger Aaron Takarangi turned the games Coventry’s way as they went into a 15-7 lead on the hour mark with Duncan James converting the second of the tries. 

The visitors did manage to close the gap to a point with a second try as hooker Adam Caves went over and Thomas converted in the 66th minute.

Doncaster 43 (Tries: Davey (16), Forster 3 (26, 44, 79), Davies (54), S Boden (67). Cons: Benson 2, Woodrow 3. Pen: Woodrow (48).  

Nottingham 29 (Tries: Corcoran (9), Logan (32), Springall (58). Con: Stenhouse. Pens: Barlow 3 (1, 3, 30), Stenhouse (74).

Doncaster continued their excellent start to the new season making it three wins out of four with this home success over Nottingham. 

Jason Forster was again amongst the tries and notched a hat trick to move onto seven for the season. It was the visitors though who led at the break 19-14 with tries form flanker Adam Corcoran and wing Will Logan, his 4th of the season, whilst Tom Barlow put over three penalty goals. For the home side there were tries for centre Spencer Davey and Forster with Jon Benson converting them both.

The home side moved ahead in the third quarter with tries form Forster and left wing Wes Davie and Mark Woodrow added a conversion and a penalty goal to make it 29-19 after 54 minutes.

Nottingham got back in it with a try on 59 minutes from scrum half Rob Springall but with hooker Steven Boden and Forster completing his hat trick Doncaster took all five points on offer.

Exeter Chiefs 27 (Tries: Ward (34), Yapp (40), Kingdom (67), Luff (80). Cons: Yapp 3. Pen: Yapp (20).  

Earth Titans 22 (Tries: McCormish (11), Jacobsz (24), Fourie (59). Cons: Steenson 2. Pen: Steenson (30).).

The Titans lost for the first time this season despite going into a 15-3 lead on the half hour mark. The Titans took the lead when flanker Michael McCormish went over for an 11th minute try when Gareth Steenson converted. Tony Yapp pulled three points back for the home side but with No 8 Stephanus Jacobsz went over for a 24th minute try and Steenson put over a penalty goal on the half hour go into a 15-3 lead. By half time the Chiefs had levelled the scores with a try from centre Stephen Ward and then one for Yapp in first half injury time converted by Yapp.  

13 minutes into the second half the Titans were back in front after flanker Hendrie Fourie touched down and Steenson converted.

Full back Gary Kingdom got the Chiefs right back in it with a try on 67 minutes before a last minute try from winger Jason Luff gave the home side the win and Yapp added the extras.

Leeds Tykes 21 (Tries: Hepworth 2 (17, 77). Con: Hinton. Pens: Hinton 3 (21, 32, 64).  

Cornish Pirates 20 (Try: McAtee (20). Pens: Di Bernardo 4 (15, 32, 57, 69). DG: Di Bernardo (42).   

Leeds Tykes made it three in a row with this narrow win over the Cornish Pirates at Headingley thanks to a late converted try.

The Pirates were first on the scoreboard with a penalty goal from Alberto Di Bernardo in the 15th minute. The lead lasted just two minutes before fly half Jonny Hepworth crossed the Pirates try line and a 5-3 lead.

The lead changed hands just three minutes later when right wing Rhodri McAtee went over the Tykes line to make it 8-5. Leigh Hinton levelled the scores a minute later and in the 31st minute put the home side ahead but the sides went in level at half time with Di Bernardo kicking a 34th minute penalty goal.

He put the visitors ahead in the third quarter with a drop goal and a penalty goal to move 17-11 ahead. Hinton and Di Bernardo exchanged penalty goals before Hepworth’s try snatched the win for the home side.    

Newbury 19 (Tries: Roberts (2), James (21). Pens: Walsh 3 (15, 62, 68)  

Bedford Blues 34 (Tries: Patston (13), Strauss (70), Pritchard (72), Brenton (80). Cons: Pritchard 4. Pens: Pritchard 2 (5, 40).

It was the home side that took the lead with full back Mal Roberts going over for a 2nd minute try and a 5-0 lead. Three minutes later Bedford left wing James Pritchard put over a penalty goal and when he converted a 13th minute try from fly half Ben Patston the Blues were 10-5 ahead.

Tim Walsh pulled three points back for the home side and then just before the half hour mark they went in front as centre Ali James touched down to make it 13-10. Just before half time Prichard levelled with his second penalty goal.

Two Walsh penalty goals in the 62nd and 68th minutes saw Newbury open up a 19-13 lead.

The Blues had other ideas and three tries in the final 10 minutes saw them home as flanker Nic Strauss, Pritchard and second row Arthur Brenton went in for tries and Pritchard, 2, and Patston  converted them all as they took the win and the bonus point.  

Otley 3 (Pen: Binns (7).  

Plymouth Albion 36 (Tries: Oxley (14), Stewart (26), Neethling (46), Hayes (67). Cons: Neethling 2. Pens: Neethling 4 (22, 32, 37, 44)

Plymouth Albion made it four out of four as they sent Otley to their third defeat of the season with this comfortable win.

It was the home side who took the lead with Simon Binns putting over a 7th minute penalty goal. The lead lasted seven minutes before hooker Richard Oxley touched down for Albion and although Wihan Neethling missed the conversion he made it 8-3 on 22 minutes with a penalty goal. A try from second row Colin Stewart and eight points form the boot of Neethling saw Albion go in 21-3 up at the break.

10 points from Neethling in the opening seven minutes of the second half took the visitors well clear as Neethling scored a try converted it and had already put over his 4th penalty of the match. 

They sealed the win with the bonus point try on 67 minutes from No 8 Tom Hayes.

Sedgley Park 33 (Tries: Swart (8), Roberts (12), Skurr (20), Craig (43), Fourie (74). Cons: Jones 4.  

Pertemps Bees 34 (Tries: Qera (17), Hassi (24), Gabey (33), Nutthal (38), Halavatau (52). Cons: Nutthal 3. Pen: Nutthal (78).

The Bees picked up their second win of the season with this narrow one point away win at Sedgley Park who slip to their fourth straight loss.  .

The home side were 14-0 up in the first 13 minutes with tries from second row Jaco Swart and prop Gareth Roberts both converted by Phil Jones. Shortly after the Bees were off the mark with a fifth try of the season for their Fijian flanker Akapusi Qera but on 20 minutes Park went 21-7 ahead with No 8 Jon Skurr touching down.

Three tries in 14 minutes turned it round for the Bees as they went in at the break 26-21 ahead.

Park were level three minutes into the half when centre Andy Craig went over. On 52 minutes the visitors were back in front when flanker Leo Halavatau crossed for 31-26.

With the clock running down the home side regained the lead with replacement Tim Fourie going over and Jones converting for 33-31.

A 78th minute penalty goal from Matt Nutthal gave the Bees the win although Park did pick up two bonus points.

Waterloo 18 (Tries: Murchie (44), Penalty try (78). Con: Nutt. Pens: Nutt 2 (9, 21).  

London Welsh 23 (Tries: Jewell (30), Cadwallader (46), Clarke (46). Con: Marks. Pens: Marks 2 (27, 39).

Good away win for London Welsh at Waterloo as they make it two out of three on the road this season.

Steven Nutt put the home side 6-0 up with penalty goals in the 9th and 21st minutes. Tom Marks replied for the visitors on 27 minutes and when he converted a try from centre Rob Jewell on the half hour mark and Marks converted for 10-6 and he added a penalty late in the half to give the Welsh a 13-6 half time lead.

Two minutes into the second half and the Welsh went further ahead when right wing and captain Alex Cadwallader went over for a try and an 18-6 lead.

Two minutes later and Waterloo were over the Welsh line with centre Peter Murchie touching down to make it a seven point game.

But just two minutes later Welsh second row Peter Clarke went over for the third Welsh try and a 12 point lead.

The home side did manage to narrow the gap late on when they were awarded a penalty try by the referee Mark Wilson in the closing minutes.
