Jim Jenner Appeals Against Yellow

Pertemps Bees are considering appealing against the yellow card issued to their number eight Jim Jenner during last Saturday's National One defeat by Bedford at Goldington Road.

Jenner was sin-binned by referee Nick Williams but Pertemps Bees want to know what offence he committed.

"At the moment we are in the dark, Jim is not certain why he was yellow carded and we want to know the exact reason," said Phil Maynard, the Pertemps Bees' director of rugby.

"If it was for foul play then we shall certainly be appealing in an attempt to have the card expunged from Jim's records."

Players accumulating three yellow cards for foul play during a season have to appear before an RFU disciplinary panel and they are liable to a suspension.

Meanwhile Pertemps Bees expect centre Shaun Woof to be fit to take his place in the side for the National One game against relegated Manchester at Grove Park on Saturday April 3 (3pm).

Woof suffered a shoulder injury at Bedford and will have a precautionary fitness test on Thursday.

But Woof's regular centre partner Mike Davies will again be missing because of a persistent ankle problem and lock Rob Walton sustained a similar injury at Bedford. Walton will also have a fitness test on Thursday.
