World Cup hero buzzin about the Bees

It may have been back in February that the Bees shocked the world of rugby when they knocked the English and European champions Wasps out of the Powergen Cup Quarter Finals, but even rugby legends are still talking about it!

The England Hero, World Champion captain and Solihull born Martin Johnson looked back on a remarkable season of rugby and gave credit to the Pertemps Bees amazing season when he was interviewed by the Solihull News.

 

In his recent autobiography he did mention going to see Solihull before the Birmingham merge once.  However, this mentioned of the club was much more enjoyable to read as a Bees fan as he gave tribute to there remarkable season!

 

He told the paper…

 

"What the Bees did was absolutely amazing, to knock out the European and domestic champions rates it as the greatest cup upset of all time. With the decline of Moseley I think it's about time the Birmingham area had a first class side."
