Phil disappointed with cup draw

Pertemps Bees' director of rugby Phil Maynard declared himself disappointed with the draw for the fifth round of the Powergen Cup which was made at Twickenham today.

If Pertemps Bees beat Orrell at Sharmans Cross Road in the fourth round on November 6 they will face a trip to play either Coventry or Penzance & Newlyn in an all-National One tie on November 27. Zurich Premiership clubs enter the competition at the sixth round in December.
"The luck of the draw has not been kind to us recently and this a tough one for us," Maynard said.
"Lasts eason we had only one home draw on our way to the semi-finals and I suppose that we can count ourselves fortunate that we have got Orrell at home.
"If we can beat Orrell then I would prefer to play Coventry in the next round. It would be a a local derby which would mean plenty of local interest. It would also mean a short hop across the A45 for us.
"We certainly don't want to have to go to Penzance. One trip down there a season is enough and, as a part-time side with players who have to work on a Monday, we would want to avoid another Sunday fixture at all costs."
Pertemps Bees return to National League One action on Saturday October 23 with the visit of Plymouth Albion to Sharmans Cross Road (3pm).
Skipper Ed Orgee is set to start his first competitive game of the season having come off the bench in last Saturday's Powergen Cup win at Doncaster.
Centres Simon Martin (knee) and Shaun Woof (infected toe) will require fitness tests before Maynard finalises his side but winger Nick Baxter and flanker Hese Fakatou have recovered from the knocks they suffered in the defeat at Bristol and are likely to return to the starting line-up.
