Bees sign youngsters

Pertemps Bees have signed fly-half Ryan Lamb and flanker Luke Narraway on loan from Zurich Premiership side Gloucester.

Lamb, 18, is a current England Under-19 international who joined Gloucester from the city's St Peter's School and who signed professional terms with the Kingsholm outfit last summer.
Narraway, 21, comes from Worcester where he played for King's School and was first capped by England at 18-Group Schools level. He played for England in last season's Under-21 Six Nations Championship and World Cup and made his senior debut away at Leeds Tykes last May.
Both have joined Pertemps Bees in an attempt to gain senior first team experience and they are likely to go straight into the squad for the National League One game at Penzance & Newlyn on Sunday January 9 (2.30pm).
Narraway is almost certain to start in the back-row because former Tonga international Hese Fakatou has joined a lengthy casualty list. Fakatou suffered bruised ribs in last Sunday's victory over Henley and he is expected to be sidelined for up to three weeks.
"Gloucester regard Ryan and Luke very highly indeed and they are probably the best two players in their A team at the moment," said Phil Maynard, Pertemps Bees' director of rugby. "They now want them to gain some senior experience in our league and we are delighted to have them on board.
"They looked very good in training last night and to have two players who have played international youth rugby and who are full-time rugby players will freshen up the squad at an important time of the season.
"It's an open-ended agreement and Gloucester can recall them if they need them but we hope to have them available to us for most of the rest of the season."
