Stadium For Cornwall Gets Major Boost

Plans to create a £10 million purpose-built multi-use Stadium for Cornwall on the edge of Truro have taken a major step forward.
Following today’s news that the Stadium for Cornwall has taken a major step forward, we asked the Cornish Pirates – who have been waiting patiently on the side-lines – for comment.
They said: “The club has been waiting for this very good news for some time and at last are able to share this with our many supporters, sponsors and public in general.
We are naturally very pleased but we know there is a lot of work to do before our first game takes place and we would be delighted to see our sponsors and support grow and join us on this very exciting journey”
Ian Connell, chairman of the Cornish Pirates, said: “This is excellent news and what everyone has been waiting for. Now we can all look forward and plan an exciting future for Cornish Pirates and for rugby and sport in Cornwall. This is just the news we want as we approach the start of the new season – fantastic for the players, coaches, support staff, fans and sponsors. Well done to everyone.”
