Shame the weather has been so bad these last few days, no doubt it'll make things a little slippery underfoot for the boys. Don't forget if you can't make the game in person you can watch on line. Link at the top of the page. Good luck lads
The forecast isn't too bad at the moment. Looks like it'll be dry for the rest of the day, slight chance of a shower this evening.
The drainage is actually very good now, so I don't think the pitch will be too bad - a bit soft, but not a mud bath.
Luckily it looks good for the Ams tomorrow, should be dry all day!
What a game, we deserved to have at least drawn the game, 1pt just doesn't seem enough. Maybe we should have tried to play out close to our line with seconds to go, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Well done lads and this bodes very well for the rest of the season. You can bet your last dollar all the other teams would have watched this and taken note.
Heartbreak for the pirates as Ealing score with the last play of the match.
Promotion favourites Ealing were fast out of the blocks and the pirates had to weather a lot of early pressure as the away side dominated the opening exchanges.
Gradually the pirates got themselves into the game and went in level at half time.
The 2nd half was end to end with very little between the sides until the final play and heartbreak for the pirates.
The pirates will reflect on a couple of lineout malfunctions that cost them field position and territory.
A major positive was the attitude and commitment shown against a very strong Ealing squad.
I am immensely proud of our performance tonight.
Unfortunately otherwise engaged so unable to watch. A tight game by all accounts and a shame only 1 point. Looking furtehr head we should gain some points over the next few games.
