Warrington Wolves face rivals Salford City Reds in a must win match for both sides. Warrington will also be looking to avoid a hat-trick of losses to the City Reds in 2006, following the City Reds 24-6 and 22-6 home victories over the Wolves earlier in the season.

In 2006, Salford have been the suprise package beating many top teams along there way to currently sit in 5th position with 5 games to go. This will be Salford's best ever Super League finish following several years of doom and gloom at The Willows.

Salford will be full of confidence following there 34-0 home win over Harlequins RL last weekend, and Warrington will need to be at there best to win at The Willows for the first time since August 2004.

Crowds at The Willows have failed to respond to the City Reds form in 2006, and average crowds stand at just over 4,400, with only 3,046 attending the recent 34-0 home win over Harlequins RL. However, a huge army of Warrington Wolves fans are expected to make the short trip up the M62 on Friday and officialsfrom Salford are expecting the biggest Salford v Warrington crowd at The Willows for many a years.
