Vagana suffers break in Final
New Zealand stand-off Nigel Vagana suffered a broken leg during the final of the Gillette Tri-Nations Series, it has emerged.
The 30-year-old Cronulla Sharks player, who won his 31st cap at Elland Road, was helped off midway through the second half with the Kiwis well on their way to a 24-0 win over Australia.
Saints in huge deal
St Helens Rugby League Club has today announced an exciting new partnership with financial services business, Earth.
The three-year agreement goes beyond a conventional sponsorship, as the partnership, which is underpinned by a minimum financial guarantee that is a rugby league record, includes a revenue-generating element with uncapped potential.
Abram joins Hornets
Rochdale Hornets have appointed former Leigh supremo Darren Abram as their new Head Coach.
Abram commences his role with immediate effect and he will hold his first training session with the team on Saturday. He is also meeting players this week to outline his plans for the forthcoming season.
Abram replaces Bobbie Goulding, who parted company with Hornets two weeks ago, and returns to coaching in LHF Healthplan National League One after experiencing the engage Super League with Leigh Centurions.
