The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington
Sunday 18th June 2006
Kick Off: 15.00pm

Warrington Wolves have suffered two successive defeats in recent weeks, losing in the cup to National League One leaders Hull KR and relegation haunted Harlequins RL. Both matches have been close affairs but Wolves just failing to take the chances with both matches had plenty of them for Warrington.

Warrington will have been lifted in mid-week with the news of Adrian Morley's signing for 2007, however Warrington know not take Wakefield lightly dispite the fact that Wakefield are 3rd bottom, as Wakefield often lift there perfomances against the Wolves and do hold a good league record in Super League against Warrington.

Warrington ran out 22-21 winners at Wakefield earlier in the season. Warrington did trail 21-0 at half time and completed the biggest ever Super League come back, by scoring 22 unanswered points in the 2nd half to claim the unlikely victory.

Wakefield go into the match losing 3 of the last 4 Super League matches, with the only victory being the nervy 10-8 home win over bottom club Wigan Warriors. Victory for Wakefield would see the side move above Castleford into 8th in the table and move 8 points clear of Wigan in the battle to avoid the drop to National League One. Victory for Warrington will see the Wolves move into 4th spot in the table ahead of Bradford on points difference.

Warrington Wolves are urging their season ticket holders to bring a friend to enjoy the drama of the engage Super League.

The Wolves are launching a promotion to encourage new fans through the turnstiles at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

For the visit of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Sunday, June 18 season ticket holders can take-a-mate to the game for half price (£7.50 adults/ £4.50 concessions).

Season ticket holders can exchange their vouchers for the game to watch the action from the UniLever West Stand along with their friend for the crucial home clash with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

The Wildcats will be desperate for two points to move clear of the dreaded drop zone, Warrington on the other hands are setting their sights on a play off spot and each game from now until the end of the season is vitally important.

The Wolves with more than 8,000 season ticket holders are continuing to grow on and off the field and with further support the club hope to quicken their progression.

Warrington Wolves Media & Public Relations Officer, Greg Pennington said: "Bringing new fans through the gate is a hugely important aspect to the continued development of British Rugby League. If people give it a try then more often than not they are bitten by the ‘bug’ and return time and time again."

"You don’t necessarily have to be born within the shadows of The Halliwell Jones Stadium or Wilderspool to form an affiliation with a club,

"We regularly attract fans from all corners of Britain as well as overseas, many of them have enjoyed a lifetime of experience with their adopted club."
