At the second annual barbeque of the Plymouth Albion 200 Club money flowed like water as Mo Lovell and Alma Arnold handed over a cheque for £2,500 to Terry Brown, vice-chairman of the rugby club, to be held in the 200Club ground improvement fund.

Two senior members of the 200 Club present a cheque for £2,500 for ground improvements.

At the second annual barbeque of the Plymouth Albion 200 Club money flowed like water as Mo Lovell and Alma Arnold  handed over a cheque for £2,500 to Terry Brown, vice-chairman of the rugby club, to be held in the 200Club ground improvement fund. Also £475 was handed out in prize money to members.

Along with the money handed over last year this brings the fund to £4,000, the exact use of the money is yet to be decided but will fund a project to improve the grounds or facilities.

The evening was ably hosted by Vince Jones with the 4 prize draws and a recruitment drive. 130 members and guests had a great time and were treated to a plentiful barbeque cooked in the open air but served inside The Coors Marquee, the best of both worlds! A number of Plymouth Albion Ladies team arrived just in time to collect their food, along with the other guests, after their regular Friday training session.

The Club had 78 members last year and it is expected that the club will grow its membership for their third year.  Membership is just a pound a week paid for the year in advance and sixty percent is converted into prize money for monthly and end of season draws with the balance handed over to the club for ground improvements.
