Thanks for picking up the ball and running with it on this one, Ian. It's good to have an "in-house" account here on the site to complement the local media.
Personally, I think you're being a little hard on the team. Whether they elected, or were forced to play into the wind from the start, they did well to stop Roth taking too much advantage. For many years, we have been considered poor performers in the second period. After a difficult first session on Sat against the elements, we came back after the interval and made it count.
It was interesting, too, to see the rolling maul emerge as a tactic for this squad. Previously an Albion trademark, it is slowly being adopted this season and with some success territorially, if not in actual scores. It shouldn't be overused or prevent running rugby, mind.
Good to see the second try come from an intelligent chip over the defence. A muted groan was heard to start in the Redrow, to be replaced by a solid cheer, when it came to fruition. But you're right, there were more opportunities that went begging. We won't see clear water between us and the bottom four in the league without accruing a few BPs or at least denying them to our opponents.
All in all, this seems to be a team that produces more when faced with a bigger challenge. Hopefully, this will be the case on this coming Saturday. Any ideas on the length of the "sick list" - that's another measure of how well we will do, long term?

Good even balanced report. However could there be a little more about the scores please
Having said this if the try was the other side of the pitch Ianbol would not have been able to see that far

Don't worry S.J. ianbol has his fellow hacks all over the ground and well placed for the most minute of detail, that said, thanks ianbol for your view point, a very welcome adition to the meadia as stonehouse said, keep up the good work sir.
I think it's important to have some variety on our board regarding the games, i.e. when you read the papers wether it be the sunday paper or the Herald I often think the reports somewhat boring as you will read the same quotes or basically very similar reports from day to day, this report of yours has added a much needed different perspective for me, thank you.

Have to say i do agree with the tennis part,to score points you need possession please dont keep kick it away.That said i thought the lads played very well, enjoyed the game and happy with the result.keep it up albi.
