Has this beendelayed so that if found guilty he would be suspended for the return match?
| Gareth Evans cited | |
GARETH EVANS of Plymouth Albion will appear before an RFU Disciplinary Panel tomorrow following his citing by Esher Rugby for a dangerous tackle on David Slemen in the RFU Championship match on March 19. The case will be heard by Mike Curling (chair) and John Doubleday at the Holiday Inn, M5 Junction 25, Taunton at 7pm --------------------------------
PLYMOUTH Albion have held an internal disciplinary hearing, along with the Royal Navy Rugby Union, and decided to suspend forward Gareth Evans for one week from today. This follows a citing from Esher RFC following their Championship Pool C play-off match against Plymouth on March 19.
------------------------------- Did anyone see this? I can't remember. and have they delayed the citting so that if found guilty he will not be able to play against them?? |

It's a pay back game anyway, hope the ref is up to it.
Semper Sersum.
The timing does seem coincidental with us playing them this weekend. Lets hope the hearing decide that a weeks suspension is sufficient punishment so he can play next Wednesday in the Dark Blue v Light Blue inter service match and away to Moseley.

I'm also astounded that if the ban warranted a 3 week ban how come there was no yellow card.
The repercussions to Albion and the Royal Navy are selection problems to each team.
The very late citing in my opinion was absolutely avoidable, as in that particular game we could have cited a least two incidents but never.
The best way to surmount the given situation is to go out a beat Esher on saturday.
Come on Albion!!!!!!!!!
However it woyuld appear both the club and the RNRFC thought he had a case to answer because of their one week ban.
It would appear he will be available for the RN games in the InterServices Championship.
I am glad we did not respond with a citing of our own, that gives us the moral high ground.
place after we're safe
