The Road To Dax
By Sea_point
October 8 2008
With the first game of the Challenge Cup only a matter of days away, it's time to get our ducks in a row for supporters heading in to France for the big game. There's talk of 100+ heading down to Dax town for the game, which means that we should with a bit of co-ordination be able to really get behind the lads vocally in Dax.
Tickets
Looking on the Dax site, they're on sale on-line.
There are three areas, the main stand (Tribune Honneur @ €20), the smaller
stand (Tribune de Face @ €15), and then standing tickets on the running track
(Places Debout @ €10).
My suggestion for supporters would be to head to the Tribune de Face,
Why, because the main stand will be chocca
with locals and usualy backed by their bands and it'll be very hard to get a head of steam up supporting the
lads when we're outnumbered vocally...
Reserving Tickets Online
If you choose to sort out tickets through the Dax site online the link is here:- Dax Billetterie
I believe that the tickets can be collected from the ticket office on match day.
Can I ask that If you see other Connacht Supporters about the town, talk to them and try ensure that as many of us are grouped in the same are of the ground as possible.
And if you pick up any useful
information (Bars/ Restaurants etc...), don't be afraid to share it especially if you have a cupla focail as Francais....
Weather
Forecast is for warm
weather
, fog in the mornings and sunshine in afternoons (sun cream is all I'm
saying), 10% chance of rain for the game (so any of you planning special outfits
should be safe)....
