I still think the last verse of The Wests Awake would make a savage chant...

After having that song drilled into me at school I absolutely hate it. I hate the song and I hate the fact that every lazy journalist in Ireland will use it to refer to any Connacht team in any sport if they punch even slightly above their weight.

But I guess I'm in the minority there grinning smiley

The best idea in my opinion would be to get a set of drummers at every game.
If anyone was at the London Irish game at the sports-ground a year or so ago the LI crowd brought over drums and set them up at the graveyard end it really added to the atmosphere.

Having been to the Madstad on several occasions over the years since the move from Sunbury I can safely say the aspect I like least is the drums, it's just a bloody repetative dirge.

I'd frankly rather have a labotomy than the exact same at the Sportsground, as annoying as chart music being rammed down your throats at every break in play...

I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.
