RHINOS TO PLAY 'QUINS RL IN 5th ROUND OF CARNEGIE CHALLENGE CUP - AWAY!
Leeds have drawn the main rugby league club from the capital in the 5th round of the Carnegie Challenge cup. The game is set to be played at the home of the London based club, Twickenham Stoop. The game is scheduled to take place on Sunday 11th May, kick off 3pm. Ticket prices start at £12 for Adults if purchased in advance or £15 if bought on the gate, £8 for concessions and £5 for Juniors.
LEEDS PLAYERS NOT TO BE RELEASED FOR CENTENARY TEST
Gary Hetherington announced on the official club website this week that the Leeds Rhinos will not be releasing any players for the Australia v New Zealand centenary test. The cheif executive stresses how important it is for the Rhinos to win the Carnegie Challenge Cup this season, and as the centenary the test is on the same weekend as the Challenge Cup clash against Harlequins, he feels the players will be needed more at the club.
WEBB WILL MAKE RETURN AGAINST HULL KR
Brent Webb will make his return to the first team squad against Hull KR on Friday after he missed the Challenge Cup victory over the Celtic Crusaders last Friday at the Headingley Carnegie. Make your way to our homepage to see the full 19 man squad for the KR clash.
McGUIRE'S INJURY PROBLEMS ARE BEHIND HIM
Danny McGuire told the Yorkshire Evening Post earlier this week that he is confident his injury problems are behind him, and that he can return to his best, all after he damaged his shoulder in the Carnegie World Club Challenge win over Melbourne Storm at the end of February and then suffered a quad injury in his first start back at Saints just a month later.
BAILEY SIGNS CONTRACT EXTENSION
Prop Ryan Bailey has been given a huge boost ahead of the return to Super League after he has signed a 2 and a half year contract extension to keep him at the club for the rest of his career (he hopes). Bailey has made it clear he wants to stay at the club for the rest of his career and is now concentrating at cementing his place in the first team squad.
