Shouts Loudly looks forward to Sunday's AP match
Next up London Wasps at Adams Park
Wasps are on a 3 match winning streak after Beating Bath at Adams Park in the LV Cup 18-16, A big win over their London rivals Irish 33-25 and last weekend beating Bath at the Rec 6-11, However in the backs of their minds will be their last defeat which came at the hands of the Chiefs 29-6 in the LV cup with all of our starting 15 from the win over Saracens being rested.
Chiefs Confidence is very high after securing their 3rd straight premier win over Sale Sharks at the weekend which extended their run of being unbeaten to 5 in all competitions starting with a stunning 23-9 win over Saracens followed by the win over wasps, a 23-23 Draw away to Cardiff and the two victorious battles firstly against Leeds 15-9 and Last weekend against Sale we all witnessed a cracking game of rugby ending in a 24-19 win with the chiefs running In 3 tries to Sales 1.
The Clubs have met twice before , a friendly in 2005 which did not end well for the Chiefs who were on the wrong end of a 70-26 Score line and loss in the Pilkington cup back in 1995 31-0 but History did not repeat itself with our win in the LV Cup this year.
Wasps and Chiefs will see the return of the Players on international Duty which will give the head coaches selection problem as both teams have done well without them with Sireli and junior back there will be competition for places maybe a headache but I am sure that Rob sees it as a bonus to have such strength in depth.
This weekend’s Game Looks to be another Cracker with wasps being 1 point and place above the chiefs in the league table which I use to get rid of any Monday morning blues a quick glance and the smile returns (how many of the tribe do the same i wonder). If the Chiefs get the lineout and scrum functioning as it did last week I feel we will come out on top in a close encounter not an easy task with the likes of Simon Shaw and Joe Worsley in the wasps Pack but if they make any mistakes the chiefs will punish them particularly if in kicking range as Ryan is proving he is as reliable with the boot as Steeno. Wasps will also be ready to punish any indiscretions by us so our defence will need to be solid and as miserly as it has been recently especially with the likes of Tom Varndel out wide.
All over the park there should be some great personal battles but for me I always look forward to watching Hayden Thomas sniping at the scrum, time and time again this season he has managed to get to the opposing Number 8 or scrum half stopping them getting the ball away and I expect him to do the same on Sunday he has been a bit of an unsung hero.
This will be my first away trip this season and really looking forward to it, Coming home with a bigger smile on my face if that were possible after extending our winning streak in the premier league to 4 with a narrow win over the wasps, which would see Chiefs climb to the heady heights of 6th (at least) will make it all the more special and I am confident that the boys will deliver.
Come On Chiefs.

Wish it was Saturday and not Sunday Moorsman!!
now corrected
just impatient to see us climb the table
Indeed it seems that Wasps have used their defeat at Sandy Park to galvanise their season (at least according to Tom Varndell in the E&E - who knew that he went to school with none other than Ryan Davis?), hence their recent 3-game win streak in the AP where they have taken som impressive scalps.
Wasps will have some international talent at their disposal, with Shaw, Worsley, Samoan prop Taulafo, Payne, Betsen, Ward-Smith, buggy man Powell and Rees in the pack, and similar talent in their backline, with Lemi, van Gisbergen and Kefu (assuming Flutey, Simpson and Waldouck are still injured). So if ever the Chiefs needed to pull together as a XXIII and play their collective socks off, this is it!
