Hoping for a reaction to the last couple of results, Gloss have a remote chance of finishing 6th but will need other results to go their way. We must win to still have a chance of a) getting in the top 4 and b) having a better chance of a top 6 finish. If we start well and stay in front will they lose the will? Gloss 15 - 24 Chiefs.

Glaws 19 - 27 Exe but I could be wrong.

There has been speculation that Glaws may rest players for this match in favourite of the challenge cup semi v Benneton.

I doubt whether the shed will approve if so, but it is a must win match for Ex imo.

I shall wait to see the teams before any prediction.

Glaws resting players does sound plausible with a short turnaround to the semifinals. Chiefs need to keep in mind that if Glaws were to win the Challenge Cup and remain 9th, someone in 8th place (if I’m right about the rules) gets bumped out of the Champs Cup.
Run in fixtures:
Chiefs - Glaws (A), Quins (H), Tigers (A)
Glaws - Chiefs (H), Saints (A), Falcons (H)

A must win for both sides.
Will wait to see the teams before predicting.

It doesn't look like they're holding anything back for the Benneton match.

They're fielding a strong and experienced team, but their form has been patchy.

Not feeling particularly confident about this one. Not surprising after last week, away this and a strong Gloucester side. Rain forecast and how Sir - Mr Ridley!!! - interprets the breakdown may be crucial. Their back row is very useful. Head over heart and all fingers and toes crossed Gloucs 26 Chiefs 30

Strange to see that Gloucester have two scrum halves on the bench - Chapman and Englefield…
Notwithstanding that, I suspect the the combination of the shed, a plastic pitch and Mr Ridley will be enough to see us on our way, so it’s Gloucester 29, Chiefs 19
(Btw, I’ve been wrong for the last 4 matches, so let’s hope I continue that streak…)

Benetton are hardly a top side, and why people thought They would have a weakened side I do not. Know.
I’m afraid with The pitch and this ref, would be very surprised if we got a losing BP.
But our guys will play as well as they can so if I’m surprised if will be a very pleasant one.

Because Skivington told the BBC that they were likey to.

But I agree with you that we are very unlikely to get anything out of this game which will, effectively, close the door on the playoffs.

Did you watch Ulster v Benneton?

Glaws fans are quite right to be wary imo.

Benetton comprise most of the current Italy team...

I am not the greatest fan of fully artificial pitches, but ours at least is the most modern, incorporating a shock absorber layer which American football pitches have, so providing a more supportive surface.

Elsewhere Connacht, Ulster, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Lyon and Racing also play on "plastic", which seems to be a growing trend - after Newcastle and Saracens kicked it off (followed by Worcester).

There is a growing movement in the NFL to go back to grass due to the injuries caused by artificial surfaces. If you're commited to paying a player $20million a year and he's trashed his ACL on a plastic pitch you ain't gonna be too impressed...

the last 2 games the problems have started with us dealing with the ball kicked at us, lets hope we can improve there, the back three do not seem to work well together

I would agree that we are more vulnerable than most to kicks over the top. Not sure though if that's the individual players fault, or our defensive system? Having said that if I was Glos then I'd be testing out Dan early doors.

Not at all confident about this one, Gloucester 32 Chiefs 19.
Really hope I'm wrong!
