Both squads look strong with returning internationals, I think we can win this but it will be close. Sale 19 - 24 Chiefs

Real shame Varney is unavailable, he's been unbelievable for both Chiefs and Italy.

I'd say the teams are pretty evenly matched. If our scrums and lineouts function, we have a good chance.

Sale so rarely lose at home on a Friday night and their selection shows worrying intent for me.

I’ve never seen a visiting team win up at the Corpacq Stadium in all my trips to Salford and, even though the teams are both very strong and evenly matched, I don’t think tomorrow’s trip North is going to be any different.

The Enya fixture.

The unavailability of Varney is a real shame, but im sure Chapman will deliver. We have confidence and momentum. If the guys don't let the Sharks bully them then I'm sure we are capable of a valuable win.

I’m struggling to make my mind up with this one, away at Sharks is a very hard ask and I’m hoping we continue our momentum after the international break, so I’m going for an away win.

Given sale’s fantastic home record and our dismal away form for last two years, I think it would be a very big ask to expect a win. However, I think it will be close given the quality we have in the backs. If we can match them upfront then we have a real chance.
Sale 26 chiefs 24.

Losing Varney is a blow for us, but we've a strong side and I think we can get a LBP there if we play to our best. Big night for Chapman with his first Chiefs start in the Prem.

Not many teams win away at Sale, I don't think we will either. I'd be happy with a bonus point.

If, and it's a big if, we can gain parity up front we do have a chance. A good kicking game is always important against Sale, Interesting to see how Chapman goes on his first prem start.

I'm going Sale 32 Chiefs 17 Hope I'm wrong and we can get something from the game.

As when we first got promoted, just earning points every match is the target.
So a close loss, with points awarded would keep us in the hunt, if we continue strong at home.

Sale's advantage is inexperience of Chapman - not his fault of course - but mainly in the quality of the 10's. Ford is a genuine top player. We hopefully will get enough possession and I hope we do not kick it away needlessly or poorly. They have some serious jackallers so that will be a challenge if players get isolated. A win would be a great result but Varney as. others have said is a big loss. After the last match I have no confidence at all in our bench 9 and 10 and apart fro our two props and Kane James it looks really weak. So a Sale win but I hope we can manage at least a point and with luck two. Sale 35 Chiefs29

I'm dreaming we can go more than thirty seconds without conceding a penalty! That was a pretty dire first half.

Tom Curry luck to escape with a yellow in my view

Also the commentary on TNT for this game is awful.

Danny Care really is awful on comms but no worse than our discipline and tackling.
Part of me is wishing we had rested Henry.
I didn't expect us to win tonight but this is really men against boys physically.
A wake up call to everyone that was getting carried away by our start to the season.
Tonight's game was always going to be a truer barometer of where we are and it's pretty grim viewing......

Delighted to say my previous post isn't aging well!! 😆
Win or lose we have turned this performance around quite incredibly! I certainly didn't see this coming so fingers crossed we can see it out....🤞
I am dumbfounded
C'mon lads,make me look an idiot! 🤞

That was an absolutely incredible turnaround so very well played lads.
That second half was the polar opposite of the first half and I can barely believe it even though I watched it?!
A 20 point deficit turned around at Sale?!
Bonkers.....👏

Oh ye of little faith!!! I always thought we'd win!!

And if you believe that you'll believe anything!! I think you'd be hard pushed to find a single Chiefs fan who thought we'd win after Sales second half try!

Danny Care could be good in time, I do feel he's maybe too close to some current players. His description of the Curry tackle was laughable, especially in comparison to his description of hoopers tackle. The fact that neither spotted the change in the Sale prop was really amateurish.
