Chiefs 42: Bulls 18

In Rob we trust.
By the way - cream on first. There's nothing to debate.

Really hope Sam Harris goes well and Wimbush gets on early. Yenz place must be under threat and Gulley seems the choice ahead of Norey and Dwemba. Fingers crossed for decent win and not too low a crowd.

So all the marketing leading up to the game trying to build the game up with Josh,Will Rusi etc was nonsense as none of them were expected to play through injury and none of them play but they do have a couple of ex Chiefs on the bench.

Back to our team.
Its great to see the squad thickening out a bit.
I feel sorry for Kane to be on the bench after last week but the bench looks strong with lots of impact potentially.
I thought Sam W did well off the bench last week at Bath.
Looking forward to seeing Sam Harris on the pitch and seeing what he can do.

Glad to see Harris given his opportunity and I hope he goes well, he’s had a lot of time out with injuries. I can’t see us not scoring 4 tries and I hope Henry brings the right boots this week, it’s the defence where we need to step up we are conceding too many soft tries. I would have started Hopper simply outstanding every game last season too good for the bench.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but I don't think NRB will be as much of a pushover as last year. That said, we should still have enough to secure the full 5 points, anything less will be a disappointment.

Unfortunately it’s looking like a half empty ground even after the much vaunted price reduction and previously mentioned misleading (non) clash with our 3 ex Chiefs Hodge, Tuima and Rigg, all of whom have not yet featured in the Prem for NRB because of injury.

NRB will win an away game this season, I have been mightily impressed with Kok and Wade has shown some good form as he approaches the Prem try record. I am disappointed Kane James has been relegated to the bench, he imho has been our stand out player so far this season. But good to see Hoops back and Vintcent starting. But losing Woody is a big blow, hope Harris manages to fill his boots. And talking of boots, let’s hope Henry has found his of the kicking variety. Surprised to see Yenz starting and no place for Dweba or Norey. And why we signed Heaven is anyone’s guess, poor guy has hardly been seen in 2 seasons. And where is Beckerleg?

This could be closer than we would like, but have to go for a Chiefs win and 5 points.

With all the changes Newcastle will get better the more they play together and they did push Leicester hard last week and could have won that game so deserve a lot of respect.
However we have the benefit of an extra days rest and that will hopefully prove significant.

What’s Dweba done to upset RB? I can’t believe we have all this talent at 2 yet we keep playing yenz!! Unreal.

Kane dropping to the bench won't do him any harm, he's a young player and will pick up injuries the way he plays, so a rest now isn't the worst thing. He'll probably play a fair amount of the Prem Cup.
Great to see Harris given a chance, lets hope he can take it.
Yenz is a strange one, Norey must be near full fitness following his injury.
Beckerleg makes way for Hooper... hopefully he gets Prem Cup games and proves himself worthy as the backup to Daf and Zambo. When both of those are fit I don't think we'll see much of Wilson.
