Rugby World Cup Italy aiming for Quarters

RWC 07 - Italy aiming for the Quarter Finals. Coach Pierre Berbizier who has stated he will not extend his current contract as the boss of Italy, according to the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR). The FIR have confirmed that Berbizier will return to France after the RWC ends in October. "Out of a personal choice, he said he wanted to go to France at the end of his deal," said an FIR representative

 

Italy Rugby Football Coach Pierre Berbizier has a dream and the dream is to reach the quarter finals of the Rugby World Cup 2007 in France .

Now some of you may laugh but they did beat Wales and Scotland in this year’s RBS Six Nations Championship, so for those liking an outside bet, could be on the money here.

Getting back to Pierre truly believes Italy can beat Scotland to the second spot in their ‘Pool Group C’ to qualify.

At Italy's pre-tournament training camp in the northern region of Valle d'Aosta, Pierre Berbizier said:   "Let's dream over the next two months that separate us from the World Cup and let's make those close to us dream too, we are building a dream".

The key word here I think is dream!  Well we will let the Azzurri Dream On!

Bringing them down to reality with a bump, Berbizier has until August 14 to name his final squad of 30 ahead of Italy 's first World Cup match against the Mighty All Blacks of New Zealand in Marseille on September 8.  However, we will watch with baited breath for the ‘Le Crunch’ match against the Brave Hearts of Scotland on the 29^th September – in Saint-Etienne .
