Reserves claim superb comeback win at Leeds

Celtic Crusaders’ second-string, who replace the Crusader Colts this season, kicked-off their Super League reserve league campaign with a superb 48-40 victory away at the Leeds Rhinos on Sunday. The South Welsh lads staged a superb fightback to claim an unexpected win at the Arthur Millar Stadium, which breeds plenty of optimism for the club’s future.

The Rhinos burst out of the traps and soon found themselves 12-0 up. Gareth Moore and Danny Allan bagged early tries, with Simon Brown converting.

However, the Crusaders staged an impressive fightback and went onto clinch a brilliant victory in an 88-point thriller.

Steve Tyrer ran over four tries and kicked eight conversions to secure a personal match-total of 32 points. Elsewhere, Lloyd White bagged a brace, whilst Paul Ballard and Tom Burnell scored tries.

Next up for the reserves is a home clash with St.Helens - prior to the first-team's Super League clash on Saturday evening.
