Will it be third time lucky for Saders against Hull KR?

Saturday’s game against the Hull Kingston Rovers will mark the third occasion that John Dixon’s men have done battle with the Humberside club this season. The Saders were knocked out of the Challenge Cup and suffered a Super League defeat at New Craven Park. We take a brief look back at those two outings.

The Saders' fifth league outing of the season saw them comfortably beaten at Hull KR as the Robins pulled away in the second-half.

Cru enjoyed a strong start and took the lead through Peter Lutpon and trailed by only four points at the break.

However, superior fitness told in the second-half as the Rovers pulled away and eventually secured a 48-18 win.

A few weeks later, the Saders returned to New Craven Park in a fourth round Challenge Cup tie.

The Robins again secured a comfortable win with Tangata-Toa's second-half consolation try the only source of cheer for the small band of travelling South Walians.

Justin Morgan's men were eventually dumped out of the competition at the quarter-final stage following a golden-point defeat against Warrington.
