Saders ripped apart by the Wolves

More Brewery misery

The Celtic Crusaders slumped to yet anothere defeat on Saturday evening as the Warrington Wolves left the Brewery Field with a 22-6 triumph. Luke Dyer's late try made sure that the Saders weren't billed for the second week running - but the scoreline is still hugely dissappointing.

Jon Clarke scored the only try of a quiet opening period; with Warrington seizing control of the contest after the half-time break.

A Ben Harrison try and a Richie Mathers brace put the Wolves firmly in charge in the second-half - though Dyer's late try, converted by Mark Lennon, at least gave the home fans something to cheer on a largely grim sporting evening at Bridgend's Brewery Field.

3,231 watched proceedings and Cru now sit eight points adrift of the Salford City Reds at the foot of the Super League table. The Lancashire outfit visit South Wales next.

Full Time - Celtic Crusaders 6-22 Warrington Wolves
