Blackwood Bulldogs wins Welsh Grand Final
in Caerphilly

The Blackwood Bulldogs won the Welsh Grand Final on Friday evening at Virginia Park, the home of Caerphilly RFC. A hard-fought 38-22 victory over five-time winners the Bridgend Blue Bulls secured victory for the Blackwood club.
This was the first ever rugby league game to be played at
the home of Caerphilly and an excellent second-half display from Blackwood
secured them the Welsh Premier honours.
The scores were tied at the break but Blackwood took control
after the interval to secure the prize.
Trevor James, Jeremy Lloyd, Steve Richards, Andrew Jenkins,
Lewis Hamer, Aaron Humphries and Gareth Price scored the tries for the
Bulldogs.
Blackwood will now represent Wales in the national playoffs.
