Crusaders trio join Scorpions on loan

The South Wales Scorpions have signed three Crusaders players on loan ahead of Sunday's season opener. Ben Flower, Jordan James and Anthony Blackwood all look like impressive coups for the fledgling clubs as all three pen one-month loan deals at the Gnoll.

Brian Noble's men are out of action this weekend and the Crusaders boss has agreed to loan the trio to the Scorpions to give them valuable game time.

Blackwood, a regular for the Crusaders last season, has yet to break into Noble's plans and will be anxious to impress during a short stint at Neath.

Meanwhile, Flower and James are not considered fit enough for Super League duty as they aim to shake off minor injuries.

All three players can be expected to add a lot at Championship One level and could all start Sunday's game at home to Workington Town.

Noble has the right to recall any of the players during the one-month period.

The Crusaders have claimed back-to-back wins after beating Salford and Hull and are travel to Warrington next.
