Seibold and Parry pick up awards

After a tremendous start to life in professional rugby league, the South Wales Scorpions have picked up two awards for the month of March. Anthony Seibold has bagged the top manager accolade, while Steve Parry bagged the 'Player of the Month' gong.

Under the guidance of Seibold, the Scorpions have enjoyed a tremendous March and went top of the table following a crushing 48-6 win against the London Skolars.

Parry, formerly of the Valley Cougars, has adapted brilliantly to Championship One and has been an asset to the Scorpions during their impressive start to the season.

Lloyd White, Lewis Mills, Christiaan Roets and Aled James were all named in the Team of the Month as the Scorpions dominated the month's awards.

Phil Davies, club chairman and regular contributor to our messageboard, hailed the news as an "outstanding achievement" for the Scorpions.

He added: "Considering that most of our squad have never played at this level before, it's remarkable and says a lot about the strength of rugby league in Wales.
