The South Wales Scorpions claimed a thumping win in London on Sunday afternoon. Less than 24 hours after Cardiff City's defeat at Wembley, Anthony Seibold's men bagged twelve tries in the capital with a crucial 70-22 win over the Skolars.
Following last week's huge win at Gateshead, Seibold's side ran over a half century of points once again with a comfortable win in London.Gil Dudson, Ashley Bateman, Lloyd White and Neil Dallimore scored two tries apiece, while Lee Williams, Steve Parry, Jamie Murphy and David James all scored. The win is particularly impressive considering the Skolars welcomed a host of new signings to their ranks and boasted a number of dual-registered players from the Harlequins squad. The result takes the club up to fifth in the table with half of the league season now over. The Scorpions have a game-in-hand and a five-point cushion over eighth-placed Doncaster; suggesting that the new outfit is in a good position for a play-off finish.Fans now have a three-week wait before the Scorpions are back in action. Next up is a home game against the Swinton Lions on June 13th.
