Despite defeat the Scorps are in the play offs!

York City Knights narrowly beat the Scorpions 18-16 on Sunday to inflict a defeat on the home side, however the narrow scorline ensured that a bonus point was earned which puts the club into the playoffs with a game to spare! A last minute penalty took the win back to Yorkshire but all were pleased at the end of a tough game. Next and final league game is v Hunslet next weekend.

South Wales Scorpions coach Anthony Seibold said: "To achieve a play-off position in our first year is an extraordinary feat by the young guys. The most pleasing thing is we've had 24 Welsh born and bred players and another four Welsh qualified who have turned out for us this season. It's an overachievement for us to make the play-offs this season."
