South Wales' league campaign starts at Doncaster

The Scorpions will kick-off the new Championship One campaign with an away fixture at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium on March 13th. Whitehaven, relegated from the Championship last season, will be the first league visitors to the Gnoll for the 2011 season.

The season opener at the Keepmoat will bring back fond memories for many Scorpions.

Doncaster's impressive home stadium was the venue for Anthony Seibold's men first ever away league game – which ended in victory for the travelling Welshmen.

Home fixtures will take place on Sunday afternoons at 3pm next season; with the exception of two games.

Due to the mammoth distance between Workington and Neath, games between the Scorpions and Town will kick-off at 1pm; while rivals London Skolars visit the Gnoll for an intriguing Friday evening kick-off.

Following the sad demise of the Blackpool Panthers, each club in the division will play an extra league fixture home and away.

Scorps have been handed an extra away trip to Oldham and an extra home tie against Skolars. The latter will be the final game of the season on September 4th.

The visit to Doncaster will not, however, be the club's first competitive game of the season. The fledgling club will enter the Challenge Cup for the first time and will be in action on the weekend of March 6th.
