A short break before back to action.

Following a very close and hard earned narrow victory over Oxford last Saturday afternoon at Iffley Road, the South Wales Scorpions have a short break until their next competitive match which takes place on Sunday 28th April at the Gnoll against Rochdale Hrnets. Kick off is at 3pm.
South Wales Scorpions have won three games on the road this season beating all three newly elected Championship One teams in Northern Rail Cup and Kingstone Press Championship One games, however the team have failed to get a victory at their home ground - The Gnoll - and the match against Rochdale will be another tough test.
Whilst there were defeats at the hands of North Wales Crusaders and Doncaster the team are capable of playing some excellent Rugby League and with experience will get stronger and hopefully results will continue to improve.
The enforced rest due to the next weekend being for Challenge Cup ties has not been welcomed by Head Cach Dave Clark who would have preferred to have had a game this weekend. “I’d rather keep playing,” he said. “A lot of the other sides will have a game next week so we’ll be behind in regards to conditioning. That’s something we have to focus on, have a mini pre-season and keep the boys focussed for the Rochdale game which I’m sure will be another close encounter.”
