News awaited as the new season draws closer.

Rugby League fans based in South Wales are eagerly awaiting news from the WRL (Welsh Rugby League) regarding the South Wales Scorpions. With the new season two months away it will be interesting to see what is planned in terms of coaching staff and venues. The club will host Oldham Roughyeds on Sunday 2nd March.

The official website carried the following just before Christmas:

**Wales Rugby League are continuing talks with a number of venues, partners and personnel around their involvement with South Wales Scorpions RLFC in 2014.

WRL Chief Operating Officer Chris Thair said: “An offer for the Scorpions Head Coach position will be made to somebody before the month’s end and we will finalise a number of other aspects of the club in New Year. These things take some time but the wheels are in motion for a successful 2014.” **
