The home season ends on yet another defeat

The 2015 season is nearly over, the club have one more league game to go - away at Swinton Lions next Sunday (13th September) but they failed to win a home game in a season for the first time. Newcastle Thunder scored 24 unanswered points in the second half of the match at Mountain Ash to finish easy victors by 50 -26. It was a case of once again the players ran out of steam and energy in the second half, so many times this season we have been in contention at half time only to see games slip away in the second 40 minutes.

The facts speak for themselves and unless we can surprise Swinton next week the club will have won only one competitive game in 2015 and three in total in the last two years. The loyal band of RL supporters will turn up every week because they love the sport however new fans will only be attracted by a more successful product on the pitch and results in sport are everything.

Good luck to the team for the trip to the North West next weekend.
