2015 season finishes and new owners announced.

The 2015 seaon ended with the South Wales Scoprpions suffering their heaviest ever defeat. The club lost 94-6 at Swinton Lions to bring the curtain down on the 2015 season. The season yielded only one victory and not a single home point in a year which was hard work for all involved in the club including the fans. South Wales Scorpions Rugby League club will be jointly run by Marc Lovering and Neil Williams. Marc Lovering has been working at the Rugby Football League for the past 15 months and is currently the chairman of Halifax-based community club Siddal. Neil Williams has been Scorpions team manager this season having performed a similar role for Wales Academy.
The Welsh Rugby League’s chief operating officer Chris Thair said: “Wales Rugby League pass the club over to a highly credible duo who will certainly take the club forward into an exciting future. Whilst we had a number of good options on the table, we decided to choose the one which gave us the most confidence in their proposals and shared our vision for the club. We wish the Scorpions well for the future and we continue to support the sports flagship club in South Wales.”
